Your main responsibilities will consist of

  • lifeguarding
  • setting up indoor and outdoor activities
  • setting up events
  • assisting with general enquiries from customers
  • responding to ad hoc requests for support

You will also be involved in patrolling facilities, security, cleanliness, health and safety and emergency procedures.

You will work an average of 36.5 hours per week over in a shift rota with the other Sports Assistants which will include early mornings, evenings and weekends covering all hours of operation between 05:45 and 22:30 weekdays and 07:30 to 19:30 weekends.

We are looking to recruit an Athletic Performance Coach who has previous experience of working with performance athletes.

The purpose of the role is to provide Athletic Performance provision for athletes in our Student Performance Sport, Breakthrough & TASS programmes. This will involve delivering one-to-one and group sessions to a wide range of athletes with the goal of transitioning athletes from pre-elite to elite.

Your delivery will need to be of high quality, be interdisciplinary and integrated to the other strands of Performance Support Team. Positive engagement with the other practitioners and staff within the , as well as sport coaches will be essential.

  • Organising the team of 5 cleaners in order of areas and priority - the Sports Training Village opens at 08.00 to members of the public, students etc. 
  • Provide induction training and on-going training

  • Ensure that areas are always cleaned to the highest standards.
  • Always maintain Health & Safety standards using COSHH in line with the recommended instructions.
