continuing in the 2001/02 academic year are made up of ten alphanumeric
characters (e.g., UFTMECH001) in the following manner:
1st character differentiates UG or PG or CE (non-credit bearing)

Continuing Education (non-credit bearing)
2nd character
differentiates Mode of Attendance (i.e. the normal way the programme as a
whole is undertaken/delivered)
F

Full-time

Distance learning
3rd character
differentiates predominantly Taught or Â鶹´«Ã½

differentiate owning Department/School, or Faculty if a cross-departmental
programme, or UNIV if a cross-Faculty programme
Departmental code (e.g. PSYC
for Psychology), or

UNIV for a cross-Faculty programme such as Natural Sciences
